The Desert Queen, as you can see, has had a long and colorful history. Due to its easy access and popularity, though, it's been "sanitized" by the park service and little is left but a few ruins, some old equipment and grated tunnels and shafts. Still, since we'll be hiking through it to pick up the trail to the Eagle Cliff area, it provides some interesting glimpses into the past.
